“This House resolves that no member of the House shall either demand or give dowry for his or her own marriage or for his family members and shall not attend marriages where they are aware that dowry has been demandedor given. This House also resolves that the Government shall take all steps toencourage, motivate and support those persons who want to promote dowryfree marriages.”
